The Hadeland mittens are knitted in two colours in a simple striped pattern. The colours can vary, but the pattern stays the same.
This is an old pattern from around 1830. It was then called Rosendalsvotten. The name Hadelandsvotten is from 1945, when the association of local women called Bondekvinnelaget hired several knitting ladies to make it. They then launched it for sale after the war was over.
The mittens are sold at Hadeland Folkemuseum.
